Planche Training


Doing a full planche – #lifegoal

There has been one thing that has always fascinated me and that is the planche. It is something that I have always wanted to do and it is something that I have decided to embark upon learning. Now, this isn’t something that can be done overnight. It is a long slow process that will take time to get right but I am sure with the right training and practice I will get there.

That brings me to the crux of this post: training. How can I do this by myself? Well I have decided to follow an online course. After a considerable search and asking and not finding answers to the questions that I had about how much training and the progressions that I should follow. I stumbled upon According to their website: GMB makes online training programs for people who have more important things to do than spend hours every day working out.

After watching their videos, and seeing the detail that they had put into their workouts I thought what the hell, it’s only $95 for their Parallettes 1 course, why not give it a try? The course lasts 12 weeks, and although it won’t take me all the way to being able to do a planche it will give me a good foundation, plus if I like the course I will purchase Parallettes 2 and that should take me all the way to the planche (through a 4+ month training course).

So here is hoping that if everything goes well by the end of March 2017 I should be able to do a full planche. My training starts this Monday (22 August) wish me luck.
