It’s all over – I’m a qualified Divemaster

Sidemount diving on the Um El-Faroud

What can I say? The last month has been intense. I had intended to post every few days with updates on what I was doing but it just didn’t seem to happen.

I have just completed my PADI Divemaster by doing a one month internship at Divewise in Malta. I basically worked 6 days a week, 12 hours a day. I completed a total of 42 dives (not including pool or confined sessions) where I led 15 of them.

There are so many things that I have done over the last month that it is hard to quantify it. My most favourite thing to do was to lead dives. I really enjoy seeing the excitement on peoples’ faces as I led them around some of the amazing wrecks and reefs here.

I met so many amazing people from all over the world (but mainly from Sweden).  I did all of my favourite dives. Though I only got to dive sidemount once (which was a pity) but I definitely felt bitten by the bug and I am sure I will do more dives like that again.

I will try to do some posts in the coming days about my experiences. But suffice to say, it was amazing!
