I have been so busy since moving to San Francisco. Work has been draining so that has meant I haven’t had as much time to do any diving – though I am hoping to plan a few trips for the coming year as it is just too cold at the moment. A friend of mine is interested in learning to skydive and we are planning a trip to the iFly to get some tunnel time, and there is a good possibility that I will be jumping again in the new year, my first in over two years.
I have also been busy learning to program. I completed the edX.org course Intro to computer programming in Python, and I have started the second course in their Xseries – Introduction to Computational Thinking and Data Science. I’m not going to lie, this second course is much harder than the first. Partially because of the statistics that are involved and partially because it is doing a lot of work with classes and I am not still not fantastic with them but I am getting better.
I have started the Udacity iOS Developer Nanodegree and I have to say that I am really enjoying it. I am making good progress and have completed the second project ahead of schedule (the deadline for it if you wish to complete everything in 6-9 months is Jan 24th 2016). So I am working hard at it. It has been a steep learning curve and I am finding that I am getting into more of a rhythm now.
Thanks for reading, and I’m sorry for not updating more frequently but I don’t want to bore everyone with my coding talk LOL.
