PADI Elite Instructor - Will you make the grade

PADI Elite Instructor – Will you make the grade?

It’s getting to that time of year, as we enter the final quarter, all PADI instructors wonder if they will have certified enough students to become one of the elite.

The PADI Elite Instructor Award recognises instructors who have certified a certain number of students in a year. It starts on January 1st and finishes on December 31st, with the results published in the first quarter of the following year.

I am hoping that I will make the grade and reach one of the milestones. There are five grades: 50, 100, 150, 200 and 300. Obviously they relate to the number of certifications in the given year. I am on track for making the 50. So fingers crossed.

I’ve got 3 AOW that still have to be counted. I have an OW and an AOW booked for the coming weeks. I also have some specialities that I will be teaching to two students: EO2 Provider, Peak Performance Buoyancy, and Fish Identification. And maybe a couple of Nitrox too along with a few Master Scuba Divers.  So all in all I have at least 15 more certs coming my way.
